Massage
I primarily practice a form of massage known as Tui Na. Tui na (pronounced "twee nah") is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) massage and bodywork that uses manual techniques to balance a person's energy. Practitioners apply pressure to specific areas of the body, often between joints, using techniques such as kneading, pressing, rolling, shaking, and stretching
Herbal Medicine
Chinese herbal medicine is a traditional Chinese medicine therapy that uses herbs to prevent disease and treat illnesses. It's based on the idea that the body is made up of five elements: fire, earth, metal, water, and wood, and that herbs can restore balance between the opposing forces of Yin and Yang energy. Yin and Yang imbalances can be caused by stress, pollution, poor diet, emotional upsets, and infection. I create herbal formulas specifically for my clients needs and presentation.
Cupping
Cupping, also known as cupping therapy, suction cup therapy, or cup therapy, is an ancient healing technique that involves placing a warmed, rounded glass cup upside down on the skin to create suction. The suction force pulls the skin upward, decompressing muscles and connective tissue, and increasing blood flow to the area. This can help with pain relief, inflammation, and circulation, and may also promote the body's natural healing processes.
